Goalkeeper Director, Travel Program

The Fredericksburg Soccer Club Incorporated (FSCI), a youth soccer club based in Fredericksburg, Virginia, has an opening for a part time senior level goalkeeper director.  FSCI offers a travel soccer program, rec academy program, and training programs. 

Senior Level Goalkeeper Director: Part-time position available.  The senior level Goalkeeper Director will train goalkeepers primarily in our travel program and support other programs. 

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:

• Lead the development and training of all goalkeepers in the club
• Plan training sessions for goalkeepers
• Develop a goalkeeper curriculum and learning objectives
• Work with other goalkeeper coaches on staff
• Provide feedback to parents and players
• Assist with other coaching or admin duties as time permits
• Have an outgoing, charismatic personality with the ability to effectively communicate with volunteers, parents, employees, and other stakeholders.

Requirements for the Position:

1. Hold at least a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper Level 3 or similar goalkeeper certification or willing to obtain a high goalkeeper certification.
2. Ability to demonstrate technical skills and teach players
3. Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
4. Excellent IT Skills, specifically using spreadsheets, presentations, word processors, etc.

At least ONE of the following desired attributes:

1. Have the United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma or USSF D License
2. Ability to speak both English and Spanish
3. Played the game at the high school, college, or professional level
