The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and driven Academy Development Sports Scientist to join us at Burnley Football Club. 

About You

Come and join our Clarets family as our Academy Development Sports Scientist!

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months experience working within the YDP or PDP phases and can build trusting relationships across the Club.

You will also need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work evenings and weekends.

Role Expectations

As the Academy Development Sports Scientist, you will be expected to:

•        Lead the planning, delivery, and analysis of U18 sport science provision incl. pre-activation, pitch-based warm up, conditioning, regular gym-based session and ILP sessions.

•        Support the YDP program alongside the Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach to ensure effective transitions of U15/U16 players into the Scholarship.

•        Distribute, process, and analyse GPS data in a timely fashion to provide updates to coaches and the wider MDT.
