Job Title:  Weekend Game Day Consultant – Social Media  
Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor 
Location: Remote 
Payment: $150-$300 per Weekend as Approved

The United Soccer League (USL) is the heartbeat of American soccer. Impacting more than 200 communities across the United States, the USL is the first and only soccer organization in the United States to build a youth-to-professional pathway for both men and women within one ecosystem. That structure includes three professional leagues: USL Super League (women), USL Championship (men), and USL League One (men); two pre-professional leagues: USL League Two (men) and the USL W League (women); and two youth platforms: USL Academy and USL Youth.

Position Purpose
The United Soccer League is seeking a Weekend Game Day Consultant – Social Media (Independent Contractor) to provide social media deliverables and consultation regarding social media platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) for matches on approved weekends.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Remotely provide services for approved matches during the 2025 seasons across the following USL properties: USL Super League, USL Championship, USL League One, USL W League, USL League Two. 
  • Serve as the point of contact for social media coverage (X, Instagram, Facebook) for matches on assigned weekends. 
  • Post content and provide social commentary on the relevant matches. 
  • Use artificial intelligence video clipping tool to create content. 
  • Engage with clubs, players and fans on match nights. 
  • Distribute content to players and third-party outlets such as 433, Goal.com, B/R Football. 
  • Communicate clearly with members of the USL Digital and Communications teams. 
 
Qualifications
  • Experience running social media accounts, specifically X (Twitter), Instagram and Facebook. 
  • A passion and knowledge for soccer; knowledge of the USL is highly preferred. 
  • Organizational and time management skills are critical. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Reliable Wi-Fi or internet connection. 
  • Must own their own computer (desktop/laptop) and have access to reliable telephone communications. 
  • Ability to communicate accurately and meet strict league deadlines.
