Job Description

The Administrative Intern will be the first point of contact for Providence Park and the Portland Timbers. You will provide support to the Administrative/HR department and entire front office by performing a variety of administrative tasks and functions through working in reception. This is an opportunity to gain exposure to the business functions of a professional sports venue. 
 
Schedule: Internship entails 600 hours of commitment throughout the Timbers season, scheduled Monday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm.
Compensation: $17 per hour

 
Essential Functions/ Major Responsibilities:
  • Work in reception office daily, providing support for the Office Manager and front office.
  • Maintain reception area appearance so it is always professional and welcoming.
  • Be the first point of contact for the organization. Greet each guest and direct them as needed.
  • Screen calls and transfer to appropriate areas as well as answer general information questions.
  • Responsible for the receiving and distribution of mail for front office staff.
  • Assist Office Manager with administrative tasks and projects.
  • Log and maintain tracking for outgoing parcels, and parking lot passes.
  • Support lost and found fulfillment as necessary. 
  • Miscellaneous projects as needed.
 
Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office Suite.
  • Good problem-solving skills, data entry, and knowledge of computer / office equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great customer service skills (in-person, by phone and electronic communication)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
 
Experience:
  • Experience working in a customer service role.
  • Experience in an office setting a plus.
