Job Description

Kolding IF of the Danish 2nd tier is searching for a new assistant coach with a heavy emphasis and focus on coaching set-pieces.

Kolding is a club that is growing a lot these years, finishing 3rd last season after getting promoted the season before, and in the process of building a new stadium with the new mainstand being ready in December of 2025.

After selling both the Head Coach and the Assistant Coach to Bundesliga clubs in the summer (Union Berlin and Mainz 05), a new coaching staff needed to be put together, with led to the appointment of a new Spanish head coach in January, but the newly assembled coaching staff still lacks an extra ressource that can boost the output and focus on set-pieces and general analysis

The aim is to add a coach with a huge drive to develop himself and the team, and who is able to delve deeply into his areas of responsibility and with the main focus of making Kolding the best set-piece team in Denmark. The role will also involve supporting the rest of the coaching staff on the pitch every training, plus video analysis responsibilities such as individual opponent analysis and our individual development plans (IDPs) with certain players.

You will become part of an international staff that includes people from a Denmark, Spain, Czech Republic, United States, and a group that shares a modern vision and aim to succeed with a playstyle that both includes the positional style of play and a high intense pressing style.

Required:

  • You have a desire for coaching and analyzing set-pieces and that being your main focus and responsibility.
  • You have an interest in gathering information and inspiration to what is best practice around the world, through both video and data.
  • You can prepare and present your own weekly video analysis.
  • You can support the rest of the coaching staff everyday on the pitch, help set up and executing drills.
  • You can take responsibility for and set up video equipment for matches and trainings.

Desired:

  • You have previous experience with coaching Set-Pieces and a portfolio of work to show.
  • You have coached at senior level before.
  • You have experience with doing individual technical training.
  • You have experience working with coding in Sportscode
