Founded in 1882, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is an English Premier League Club, based in North London.

The Club is seeking a Network Engineer to provide Network Support expertise to the business.

 

 

JOB PURPOSE

The club is looking to recruit a Senior Network Engineer to work within a small team, providing the expertise to support the network infrastructure of a large public venue and elite sports facility.

As part of the Network Team the purpose of the role would be to maintain and support the Network Infrastructure including LAN, WAN WLAN, Firewall\Security, VOIP, Structured Cabling across multiple sites.

 

The Network Engineer role will be providing the required network expertise to support and maintain all technologies providing services to operate a Large Public Venue across multiple events. Resolving issues and delivering solutions within a time limited environment ensuring the success of each event are key deliverables.

 

Additionally, the role will be required to work with numerous business units to support new initiatives and projects, also providing support and Service Desk escalations.

 

         

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting Service Desk and Service Desk Escalation.
  • Troubleshooting and Fault Finding.
  • Network Design, Proof of Concept and Testing.
  • Support, Upgrade and Maintenance of Network Infrastructure.
  • Monitoring of Network Infrastructure and responding to issues or outages.
  • Assisting with New Business Requirements, that require network design and solution architecture.
  • Working with Event Coordinators/ Event Sales Team to understand the Network Requirement for each event.
  • Preparing Network Requirements for Events.
  • Completing Pre-Event Check List (PEAPS)
  • Completing Post-Event Reports and Statistics
  • Deploying Tactical Infrastructure for events.
  • Working with Clients to ensure Network Infrastructure is delivered.

  • Documenting High Level and Detailed Design

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified to CCNA, CCNP preferable.
  • Experience in managing and supporting different vendor products including HPE, Aruba, Juniper, Ruckus, Cisco, Palo Alto, Mitel would be an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of network concepts and security including LAN, WLAN, WAN and VOIP. As well as managing and configuring:
  • LAN; vlans, LACP, QoS, DHCP/DNS, Spanning Tree, 802.1x, 802.1q, Multicast.
  • WAN; OSPF, BGP, ACL’s
  • WLAN; SSID, Radio Management, RF Management, Client Onboarding, Client Authentication, Client Mobility
  • FIREWALL; Managing Security Policies, NAT, Proxy, SIP, VPN
  • You must have a well-developed logical approach to fault finding and have the confidence to make changes and resolve issues quickly whist following procedure and communicating feedback.
  • Excellent project management skills, as well as the ability to communicate well and react well to pressure.
