What is the role?
Working for Sport Republic and its 3 clubs (Southampton, Valenciennes & Goztepe SK), the Scout will help us find and sign talent across France. This role is fundamental in building extensive knowledge on players, to help our clubs build strong, progressive squads with a high talent value. We want our Scouts to be passionate about finding talent that can excel in our group game model and pathway.
What will you be doing?
Play a key role in identifying, monitoring and recruiting players that fit the game model and each clubs’ positional requirements.
Lead research on any information that supports and aids the scouting and recruitment of a player.
Lead French tournament scouting whilst supporting international tournament scouting with detailed research, preparation, observation and record keeping.
Be highly skilled and IT literate to undertake detailed video scouting to support the research and information profile of potential targets.
Keep up to date the shortlists on the organisation’s scouting platform from across your region.
To comply with all scouting protocols implemented by Sport Republic.
Attend all meetings to support department communication and individual development.
Be highly professional and visible in your region representing Sport Republic.
Provide outstanding and professional communication with clubs, players, and agents when appropriate.
Ensure key contact networks are maintained and extended in conjunction with others in the group.
Support the analysis team when doing due diligence on potential recruits.
Embrace personal development within the team and support others in this area when needed.
Using extensive data to support scouting and recruitment in your region.
Ad hoc other duties as requested by Management.
Is this you?
Skills and Experience
Speaks English and French (Written & Verbal).
Has experience in an elite level football environment.
Has experience of live and video scouting/report writing.
Extensive knowledge and experience of the football industry and rules and regulations governing players and recruitment.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Good network of contacts.
Ability to prioritise workload.
Excellent IT Skills and familiarity with scouting databases.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Identifiable track record in Scouting and recruitment.
