Job Description

Role Summary:

As part of the club’s performance services team the performance nutritionist will provide a club wide nutrition strategy, applied delivery and education to QPR players (& support staff where appropriate). This is to optimise the impact nutrition has on players performance, recovery and development in order to reach their potential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for developing and implementing a club-wide nutrition strategy to optimise player performance. Key duties include:

  • Aligning nutrition plans with squad periodisation, focusing on fuelling, recovery, and development.
  • Integrating individual nutrition strategies into player development plans, including body composition goals.
  • Delivering group and one-on-one nutrition education for Men's First Team, Development Squad, Women's Team, and Academy players.
  • Providing daily support at training, managing key nutrition strategies, and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Collaborating with the Head Performance Chef on menus and catering interventions.
  • Overseeing supplement management in compliance with WADA and UKAD standards.
  • Managing nutrition provision for match days, including liaising with hotels and caterers.
  • Contributing to performance review meetings and integrating nutrition into the club’s Performance Services Model.
  • Educating parents, coaches, and stakeholders on performance nutrition, particularly for academy players.

Essential Requirements:

·         Undergraduate Degree in Nutrition / Sport Science,

·         MSc in Sports Nutrition.

·         Recognised Professional Accreditation (SENr, ISAK, UKAD)

·         Experience delivering nutritional support in a team sport setting.

Desirable:

·         Full-time experience in a similar role within football.

·         Demonstratable track record of performance impact specific to nutritional support.

·         Experience overseeing research projects.

·         Experience mentoring developing practitioners.
