Director of Coaching Development- NLSA Surf

Director of Soccer Operations- for Partner Club Hopewell Valley Soccer Association

Head Coach- NLSA Surf

Director of Coaching Development (NLSA Surf): would report into the Director of Football. Main responsibilities include being the lead of Yeah-End coaching evaluations for all coaches on Staff. Candidate would need to be available to watch every coach lead a training session and evaluate in-game coaching. We will have 25-30 coaches on staff. Additionally, assist with Director of Football on Coaching Education for the staff. This includes working directly with USSF, Surf Nation, NJYS, United Soccer Coaches and other organization we partner with. And have comfortability running in-house coaching education sessions as well when applicable. 

Director of Soccer Operations (HVSA): Assist Hopewell Valley Soccer with all soccer operations including Recreation and Travel Programs. This could include but not limited to, scheduling games and practices, assisting with coaching staff needs, handing Gotsport registrations, being a liaison for the organization. Working with the board to continue growing the program. Job would be 80% Admin and 20% on-field. 

This role includes coaching 1 team. This team could be on the girls or boys side of our organization. Candidates will be asked to:

  • Create positive environment for player development 
  • Create positive engagement with players + parents 
  • Hold Parent Meetings and 1-on-1 player meetings
  • Teach important tactical and technical factors
  • Fall (approx 8/15 - approx 11/19): Train 2x Per Week, 8-10 League Games, and attend all tournaments, league games, & team events during the Fall season.
  • Winter (approx 1/1 - approx 2/28): Train 1-2x Per Week (Indoors/Outdoors) + Indoor League and/or outdoor friendlies
  • Spring (approx 3/1 - approx 6/12): Train 2x Per Week, 8-10 League Games, and attend all tournaments, league games, & team events during the spring season.

Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong understanding of modern soccer tactics, training methodologies, and player development strategies.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to collaborate with Directors, Coaches, Players, and Families in a positive and constructive manner.
    • Ability to evaluate Coach performance and provide feedback in a clear and effective manner.
    • Passion for soccer and dedication to fostering youth development.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Stay updated on the latest coaching methodologies, trends, and advancements in youth soccer.
    • Pursue relevant coaching certifications and attend workshops to enhance coaching skills.
    • Pass Background Check
