We’re seeking a Casual Driver to support Academy transport needs, ensuring safe and efficient travel for players, staff, and families. This role is essential in delivering a world-class experience for everyone associated with the Academy.
Your Impact
- Provide safe, efficient, and reliable transport for Academy players, staff, families, and guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and high standards of upkeep for all Academy fleet vehicles.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with players, parents, staff, and stakeholders.
- Execute the day-to-day transport schedule for the relevant Academy players and ensure all travel arrangements are delivered to the highest standards.
- To communicate and provide information when appropriate to relevant staff on any aspect of the players behaviour, welfare, or development.
- To ensure all fleet vehicles are regularly inspected, faults are promptly reported, and documentation is up to date.
- To provide a meet and greet service for and accompany triallists and prospective signings and their families as required when they visit Manchester. Ensuring a world class first impression is given to the triallists and their families.
What we are looking for
Essential
- Confident and experienced driver with at least 2 years of experience.
- Full UK driving license with no disqualifications.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
- Good geographical knowledge of the Northwest region.
- Good communication skills essential.
- Effective team player with a professional attitude.
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Experience meeting and greeting people in a professional manner.
- Please note, this role requires working unsociable hours including evening and weekends.
Desirable
- Previous experience in transportation, travel arrangements, or similar roles.
- Knowledge of driving legislation and legal framework.
- Experience working with young people.
- Advance or secure driving certification
- D1 category on driving license (or willingness to obtain this).
- Additional experience in vehicle maintenance.
