THE POSITION

These are your key tasks:
  • Lead a sub-group of Partnerships Sr. Managers, Managers and Coordinators – establishing a standard of consistency on rights management and providing necessary support and guidance as needed.
  • Provide weekly Partnerships and Commercial Partners briefs to Head of Partnerships Management and Director of Commercial Partnership.
  • Provide support to Head of Partnerships Management in supporting/leading the Partnerships team on the day-to-day business.
  • Proactively lead and foster relationships with key commercial partners and FIFA stakeholders, representing the Functional Area in key meetings as needed.
  • Lead assigned projects and deliver them in quality, time and budget.
  • Identify relevant and meaningful business and marketing opportunities.
  • Project Lead for dedicated FIFA Competitions and other FIFA and Commercial Partnership related events (Marketing Workshops, Special Events, FAE, etc.).
  • Deputy management of Partnership budget and reconciliation.
  • Administer team meetings and meetings with other FIFA Departments (as part of the team objectives).
  • Provide support to Partnership Sales team (sponsorship packages) and Partnership Rights Delivery teams.
  • Provide proactive and solution-oriented support to Head of Partnerships Management and Partnerships team.
  • Lead the development of Partnership team members in the field of marketing, specifically in sponsorship as a marketing strategy, to inform internal processes and tools for success.
  • Act as a reference for proactive benchmarking of industry best practices to evaluate, assess and improve partnership management tools with view of improving client servicing.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
  • 8-10 years’ experience of brand marketing and client servicing in sports industry with solid knowledge of additional industries
  • Proven track-record in managing complex projects |
  • A strong understanding of the business of sports, marketing and rights delivery
  • Global and cross-cultural mind-set with experience dealing with international clients and colleagues
  • Proven project and event management experience
  • Working knowledge of digital and social media channels & strategy
  • Fluent in English; Proficiency in any other FIFA language (F / ES / GER) is an asset
  • Client oriented, efficient and effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to define strategic goals, give clear directions and to lead and empower team members 
  • Team worker, service oriented and cooperative with good interpersonal, oral and written skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adopt a creative and innovative mind-set to problem solving
  • Capability to multi-task under pressure and set priorities
  • Establishing and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent FIFA Organization and Commercial Partnership Division
  • Self-motivated, strong initiative and commitment to achieve objectives
  • High level of empathy, proactivity and customer servicing 
  • Willingness to travel at least one week per month
