Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join Football Administration Department at Norwich City Football Club in the role of Football Administrator. This is an excellent role for someone who has a keen eye for detail, and is passionate about pursuing a role working in professional football.

The Football Administrator will be responsible for the registration process for all Academy registrations, from the under 9 age group, through until under 18. This includes all trialist, schoolboy, compensation and scholarship players. The role will involve communicating with governing bodies (including The Premier League, EFL, FA, UEFA and FIFA) on registration matters to ensure full compliance with league rules and regulations, alongside other key stakeholders such as parents and/or guardians and schools.

Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all aspects of player administration for the under 9 to under 18 age groups, including trialists, schoolboy, compensation and scholarship players. This includes supporting with any registrations that require International Clearance.
  • Assist with player administration with the Club’s professional players, where directed.
  • Complete intermediary documentation as required to support the above player registration forms, checking their status against the FA Intermediary List
  • Work in collaboration with the finance department to ensure they hold up to date records for players contracts
  • Ensure the Youth Retain List is submitted on time and accurately
  • Liaise with The Premier League, Football Association, English Football League, UEFA and FIFA regarding player registrations and ensure strong professional relationships are maintained at all times
  • Be across rule changes in registrations, both domestic and foreign from all governing bodies and update staff as required
