Job Summary:
Our Premier League Kicks programme is for anyone aged 8-18 living in the city of Cambridge. We run free, turn up and play sports sessions across Cambridge throughout the week. Currently these sessions are focused on football, with plans to expand the programme to other sports.
 
Our aim is to increase sports participation in socially deprived areas to then inspire and empower Kicks participants to follow positive pathways in the future. This will become possible through being part of constructive activities on a consistent basis, which will increase personal development and provide participants with the opportunity to reach their full potential.
 
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver high-quality, engaging football sessions for participants aged between 8-18 years.
· To support on other social inclusion activities such as workshops or multisports when required.  
· To maintain high standards of safeguarding practice at all times.
· Communicate effectively with Premier League Kicks lead, Safeguarding Lead, participants, parents and other coaching staff.
· Maintain accurate records for monitoring and evaluation to include attendance and feedback.

Criteria - Qualifications
Essential
- Good standard of education in English and Maths – GCSE level  - Up to date safeguarding certificate (or willingness to undertake) 
- FA First Aid certificate (or willingness to undertake)

- Enhanced DBS with barred lists check on appointment
- A degree relating to sport and/or education   
- Introduction to Coaching Football qualification 

 
Criteria – Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Experience working with young people   
- An understanding of the power of sport to inspire young people 
- An understanding of safeguarding children and young people regulations and DBS requirements   
Desired
- Experience of delivering/supporting targeted workshops for young people
- Knowledge of Cambridge and its surrounding areas 
- An understanding of the wider work of Cambridge United Foundation.

- A passion for utilising sport to inspire young people
- Excellent communication, inter-personal and behaviour management skills
