Job Title: Hotel Night Porter
Reports to: Hotel Night Manager

Job Purpose:
We are looking for a hardworking and energetic individual to join our night shift team. We want someone who will deliver excellent customer service, have a positive attitude and deal with our guests and their needs during the night.
The individual in this role is responsible for the safety and security of the guests and property during the night and will be well presented with a pleasant and professional manner in dealing with guests and fellow team members.
Previous experience is preferable although full training will be given.
The hours of work are 10.00pm – 8.00am, on a rota system basis. The shift work includes weekends and bank holidays, as and when required. Due to the nature of the hotel industry, you must be flexible and available to work additional shifts when the business demands.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- To welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with any security/fire alerts and accidents promptly.
- To check guests / late arrivals in and out of the hotel ensuring the correct payments are taken.
- To carry out and record regular security walks of the hotel and stadium, with special emphasis on security, fire, and safety.
- To have a thorough knowledge of and adherence to the law with regard to the following company regulations:
- Fire regulations and night evacuation procedures
- Health and safety regulations
- First aid procedures
- To answer all internal and external calls in a professional manner as per the company's standard of procedure.
- Ensure that all maintenance issues observed during the hours of duty are reported to the maintenance team.
- To ensure all public areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness including outside areas.
- To be responsible to all hotel guests overnight and deal with any issues that arise.
- To establish a friendly and helpful attitude to all guests and staff.
- To writes a report on activities and incidents that occur during the night.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience of night working is preferable.
- Hardworking with exceptional attention to detail.
- Have a positive attitude and be able to offer excellent customer service.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both alone and as a member of a team.
- Ability to use own initiative and work proactively.
- A fast leaner with the ability to follow instructions.
- Assertive, calm with the ability to work well under pressure.
- The ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment.
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety rules.

Pay: £6.40-£11.44 per hour
