Women's U21s Strength & Conditioning Coach

Ipswich Town Football Club is looking for a Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our Women’s U21s team to deliver appropriate first response and ongoing care to all players, assess and manage injuries and provide treatment and rehabilitation.

You will be experienced working with young athletes in a football environment. You will understand the needs of the modern young player in terms of the physical and psychological development.

Who are you?

·      You have a BSc in Sports Science, Sports Science related discipline or BA in Physical Education and Primary Years.

·      You hold UK Strength & Conditioning Association (UKSCA) ASCC accreditation, certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or has evidence of working towards.

·      You have a recognised S&C related qualification (CSCS/ASCA Level 2 / BWLA/FA Level 3).

·      You are FA Level 1 introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) or FA Emergency First Aid qualified.

·      You have developed an understanding of the application of strength & conditioning in an applied team setting. You may have experience in Women and girls’ football and have some knowledge of how key S&C concepts pertain to Women’s and girls’ football.

·      You have experience and an understanding of internal and external load monitoring, including GPS and heart rate monitoring.

·      You have experience of developing and delivering individual and group physical preparation and recovery strategies for children and adolescent females.

·      You have knowledge of injury minimisation strategies.

·      You have FA Safeguarding Children.

·      You will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral and be confident communicating,

·      You will be organised, able to meet deadlines and keep calm under pressure.

·      You will be outgoing, enthusiastic and passionate about your work.
