Job Description

The Hive London is actively looking to add a dynamic Commercial Manager to join our growing team and lead our commercial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the development and implementation of commercial channels, including sponsorships, advertising, retail and business partnerships, merchandising and corporate hospitality. 

Already an experienced account/relationship manager with a demonstrable track record of identifying profitable commercial opportunities, your innovative approach to commercial activities and keen eye for opportunities to enhance the club's brand and increase its commercial success shines through.

This is a great opportunity for a high calibre Commercial Manager who has the network and account management experience.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•      Lead on the development and delivery of commercial strategies to drive revenue growth identifying opportunities, setting budgeted sales targets and achieve targets

•      Manage and develop relationships with current sponsors and secure new ones 

•      Understand the value drivers of our business and identify profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue across the entire estate

•      Work with our social media team to develop and implement advertising and marketing campaigns to promote the club and its sponsors

•      Work within the local business environment to market the club to the wider city and area to increase fan engagement and attendances on matchdays.

•      Become an integral part of matchday operations in order to ensure that all partner/sponsors needs are met

 

YOU ARE:

A self-motivated manager that has a great understanding of football commerciality including sponsorships, advertising, hospitality and can deliver a high level of customer service. In addition, you have a great understanding of all commercial aspects including corporate sponsorships, advertising and hospitality. You are able to forge links with businesses at all levels ensuring that their needs are met, and their business is retained.

You have strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and exploit revenue-generating opportunities with excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of cultivating productive relationships with partners, sponsors, and stakeholders with a proven track record of achieving and surpassing pre-determined sales targets

A flexible approach to working schedules due to the demands of the football industry is essential. You will be someone that takes ownership and pride in your work to become a valuable member of the team and are a great team player that can also work on your own initiative.

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 

•      Strong understanding of the sports sponsorship landscape, with a network of industry contacts - ESSENTIAL

•      Experience in contract negotiation and management

•      Proficiency in CRM and data analysis tools to inform decision-making and strategy

•      Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

•      Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of cultivating productive relationships with partners, sponsors, and stakeholders

•      Experienced in understanding the value drivers of the business and able to identify profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue across the entire commercial spectrum

•      Analytical mindset with effective communication and relationship-building skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on innovation
