Sports Turf Operative
Location: South East England (Depot-Based)
Salary: £17/hour + Overtime (1.5x for hours over 40/week)
Hours: Standard hours are 7:00 am–4:00 pm (depot) or 8:00 am–5:00 pm (on-site) with 1-hour break. Flexibility and overtime are required.
Start Date: Positions available starting March, with the possibility of an earlier start for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Sports Turf Operative, you will:

• Operate specialist equipment to maintain and renovate natural and artificial sports turf at customer sites.
• Transport equipment to and from customer locations using a 7.5-tonne plant lorry (Class C1 license required).
• Liaise with customers on-site, ensuring excellent communication and customer service.
• Carry out work to the highest professional standards, paying close attention to detail.
• Work independently, using initiative and problem-solving skills to complete tasks efficiently.
• Commit to additional hours when required to meet deadlines and client needs.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A valid Class C1 license (essential) to drive a 7.5-tonne plant lorry.
• Experience or aptitude for working with mechanical equipment (good mechanical skills are essential).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality results.
• A contractor mentality, including flexibility to work overtime when needed.
• The ability to work independently and efficiently.

Work Schedule
