What is the role?
As an Academy Coach you will be contributing to a progressive learning environment in the Foundation Phase, which positively impacts players development and potential to achieve on and off the pitch.
What will you be doing?
Working alongside the Player Development Lead, you will be providing a training and games programme for the players that provides them with appropriate challenges and opportunities. This will involve leading on the technical development of players within an age group, through developing and monitoring individual development plans to provide a broad technical base for every player.
In this role, you will develop the identified Foundation Phase age group in line with the SFC development curriculum, and session design principles. You will be expected to prepare both team and individual player reports for review meetings, weekly FP coaches’ meetings and the academy audit process. In addition, you will lead on regular player reviews and 1:1s that are based around the club’s player characteristics.
