Job Description

The Sporting Kansas City Assistant Team Administrator assists with the management of team operations for the first team in Major League Soccer, Sporting Kansas City II in MLS NEXT Pro and the Sporting Kansas City Academy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Help manage day-to-day operations for the Sporting Kansas City first team, MLS NEXT Pro (SKC II), and MLS NEXT (Academy).
  • Help manage & track the Sporting KC technical operating budget.
  • Plan & execute various team trips and events.
  • Coordinate & communicate team schedules with staff and players.
  • Register players for competition.
  • Assist players in their onboarding and relocation process, which includes but is not limited to, visas, housing, transportation, culture acclimation and more.
  • Perform various matchday tasks to prepare locker room and team for competition.
  • Coordinate scheduling and other needs with the management of Sporting Kansas City’s training facility, Compass Minerals National Performance Center.
  • Assist the Manager & Sporting Director with daily support.
  • Communicate with various Sporting KC front office departments including accounting, communications, community relations, marketing, partnerships, people team, and others as needed.
  • Communicate with competition governing bodies regarding player & team registration, rules & bylaws, events, and more.
  • Maintain & develop various relationships inside and outside of the organization.
  • Maintain & develop a competitive & successful team culture & environment.
  • Support Sporting Kansas City’s mission, vision and purpose.
  • Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform other related tasks or projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Three (3) years or more of related experience.
  • Prior experience in team operations and soccer required.
  • Knowledge of MLS, CONCACAF, U.S. Soccer & FIFA regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relative field required.
  • Capacity to adapt to the unique and vibrant Kansas City market.
  • Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write in the English language.
  • Spanish language fluency preferred.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Calendar.
