Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League is looking for a Marketing Manager to support its marketing operations at the bet365 Stadium.
As a Marketing Manager, you will execute innovative marketing campaigns and proactively promote the Club’s products, brands and services, generating leads and direct sales.
You will lead the creative process and be responsible for creative briefing, concept generation, tactical execution and evaluation for a range of key campaigns across the ticketing, retail and events arms of the Business.
Being the organisational power user of the Kore marketing software and using your insight, experience and intuition to establish the most impactful forms of marketing for each campaign, you will focus on the robust flow of data between sales and marketing channels.
The position will include responsibility for the campaign calendar and accordant application of focus and resource, whilst managing a checklist of routes to market. You will make tactical decisions regarding when to deploy each activation and offer high quality tactical marketing support to all departments at the point of need, with a particular focus on ticketing, retail and events.
You will be synonymous across the organisation for the extent of your dedication, the quality of your craft and the scale of your ambition.
Main Responsibilities
· Gathering and analysing insight, both from the Kore platform and alternative sources that assist the Club in becoming increasingly targeted and intelligent in its marketing execution.
· Generating and delivering innovative ideas to drive additional sales across ticketing, retail and other areas of the Business.
· Executing and demonstrating ROI for paid campaigns across search, display and social, whilst driving ever-more innovative means of marketing online.
· Implementing, overseeing and executing a culture of data driven marketing, with an ongoing drive to deliver high quality direct messaging to more people, more segmented, more often.
· Driving and executing strategy regarding direct communications to data across the Club’s marketing campaigns, inclusive of email, app notification, SMS and direct mail.
· Maximising the number of marketable customer records available to the Club and be able to segment them intelligently.
· Providing effective line management to any direct reports.
· Contributing to, and be a senior voice of quality control, regarding live match day production, both in the Fan Zone and in-bowl.
· Ensuring self and others conduct themselves in a manner that adheres to, complies with, and supports the Club’s policies and procedures including, but not limited to, Health and safety requirements, the employee handbook, Requirements of the Football League, the Premier League, and the FA including: betting integrity rules, Safeguarding policies and procedures, Code of Conduct, Security protocols.
Key Skills and Experience
· Ability to conduct research into industry trends and best practice, thus driving innovation.
· Ability to evaluate the effectiveness and KPI’s of all campaigns and executions with knowledge applied to future output.
· Working knowledge of Google advertising, Facebook Shopping, search engine optimisation and Google Analytics.
· Ability to produce high-quality tactical and strategic dialogue with department heads and other key stakeholders and lead meetings to drive the Club’s marketing agenda forward.

The ideal candidate will be available to work evenings and weekends to cover matchday fixtures and other events at the bet365 Stadium.
The positions will be offered on a full time basis. All relevant training will be provided.
