Are you passionate about football and ready to play a vital behind-the-scenes role in our club’s success?

Portsmouth Football Club is looking for a part time KIT Assistant to join our dedicated team until 31 May 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of our journey, ensuring that our players and staff—across the U18 Academy and First Team—are fully equipped for training, matches, and fixtures.

Job Location - Portsmouth Football Club, Training Ground and other venues as required

Hours of work - 25 hours per week, with the following typical schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Saturday and Sunday: 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Please note, a flexible approach to working hours is required

Contract type - Fixed Term Contract to 31 May 2025

As a KIT Assistant, you will support the KIT Manager in maintaining the high standards of preparation and organization Portsmouth FC is known for. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Kits: Laundering, folding, and organizing kits for training and games.
  • Preparing Equipment: Ensuring the correct kit and gear is ready for all fixtures.
  • Customizing Kit: Printing names and numbers on kits and managing replacements as required.
  • Reporting and Inventory: Keeping track of all kit items, reporting losses or damages promptly.
  • Sustainability: Supporting recycling and other club sustainability initiatives.
  • Fixture Support: Attending matches to provide on-site kit assistance when needed.

Requirements

We are seeking a friendly, approachable individual with:

  • Experience in a laundry or kit-related role.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively within the team.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.
  • A full UK driving license (preferred but not essential).
