About the opportunity: Using data to extract insights, we have a significant impact on all aspects of performance. As a result, we now have an opportunity for a driven individual to come and join our Performance Insights team at Finch Farm as a Junior Data Engineer.  

As Junior Data Engineer you will work closely with all Academy departments as well as the Women’s team. Operating as a member of the Performance Insights Department, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and administration of the data and information systems, and have a wide remit for their future development.    

You will develop a strong understanding of the operational and performance requirements of the Academy, and how they can facilitate its advancement with the use of data.  There will be a responsibility to ensure data is available to key stakeholders during decision processes, and using data to improve cross-departmental projects will be a key aspect of this.  

Finally, you will have an excellent opportunity to learn from the data experts in the department, who have varied backgrounds and skillsets, thus providing an exciting and fast-paced environment in which you will develop your professional experience. 

Who we are looking for:  We are looking for an aspiring and highly motivated individual pursuing a career in professional football and data. You will have a strong understanding of data and information systems, and have previous experience working with data in some capacity.  

You will be confident in communicating with all stakeholders, using your growing knowledge of data to impact on-pitch performance.
