Being a unique grassroots football club, we aspire to redefine the development of the next generation. London XI uses the power of data to motivate and inspire young players and allow coaches a greater understanding of each player. 

We focus on youth development through character-building masterclasses and driving the standards to prepare each player to take the next steps in football. We believe that the technology used at the top level of football can also benefit the development of young players.  

About the Role

London XI is seeking a passionate and dedicated junior football coach to join our dynamic coaching team. This role involves coaching boys and girls that aspire to take their next steps in football. The leadership of this group will be focused on the mentality and technique of each individual and continuously driving high standards. We offer excellent pay rates.

The role requires a minimum of 3x sessions per week

  • Tuesday and Thursday 5pm - 7pm, Sunday 9am - 11am 
  • Occasional Saturday match days (JPL) and additional 1-1 sessions are offered but not required.

Responsibilities 

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality coaching sessions for boys and girls of U11’s / U8’s age groups  

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages participation and drives high standards. 

  • Identify and nurture talented players, providing pathways for their progression within the sport. 

  • Work collaboratively with other coaches and support staff to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to player development. 

  • Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to players and their guardians to support their growth. 

  • Be involved with the London XI team and movement

Essential Criteria 

  • Previous experience in coaching football at grassroots or academy level minimum 2 years. 

  • Able to attend Tues, Thurs and Sun sessions in Acton, London

Desirable: 

  • Been involved with professional football. 

  • Proven track record of development of elite players. 

 

Personal Qualities: 

  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate young players. 

  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities. 

  • Be a reliable member of the team and take personal responsibility for your role in players' development. 

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest coaching methodologies.
