COMPANY BACKGROUND
The Houston Dynamo Football Club (the “Club”) is a dynamic organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, Texas and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams – i.e., the Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash – a development academy and Houston Dynamo & Dash Charities. The Club operates Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park.
The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles in each of 2006 and 2007, in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on future championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the Texas. 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Dynamo & Dash Charities is seeking a Coordinator to build and execute strategic work plans that achieve measurable results and optimal use of resources to develop and grow community activations. This role will support the development and coordination of campaigns to connect with the Houston community, drive awareness, and develop fan loyalty.  We are seeking someone who is both passionate about helping others, committed to growing the game of soccer from the grassroots level, and who also has the discipline and organizational skills to both plan and execute against meaningful projects each season. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify and coordinate the team’s involvement in community events with a strategic eye on driving awareness of the team and our community efforts. 
  • Develop and foster relationships with key community and civic constituents to further support the integration of the team into the city of Houston.
  • Be available to represent the team at local events during normal business hours, as well as weekends and after hours and when needs dictate. 
  • Manage the planning and oversight of the team’s school and community programs throughout the year.
  • Assist with player appearances as needed. 
  • Assist and help oversee the 50/50 Raffle, including but not limited to, interviewing and hiring of all staff members, managing staff during all working events and coordinating winner payouts with accounting. 
  • Work closely with the PR, digital marketing, and events departments to make sure that events are promoted and executed successfully. 
  • Assist Director with all fundraising campaigns and events. 
  • Help develop detailed semi-annual and annual reports for internal and external purposes aimed at    providing a snapshot of the team’s efforts, impact and key insights from the activation.      
QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 
  • Minimum 1-year professional experience in Community Relations or non-profit. 
  • Experience with sports teams preferred. 
  • Spanish speaker preferred
