You will serve as the lead goalkeeper coach for the U21s and spearhead the development process for all goalkeepers in the Girls Academy pathway. This role involves supporting the evolution and execution of the GK syllabus in collaboration with the Head of Coaching and Lead GK Coach. The candidate will attend fixtures and training sessions, participate in squad selection meetings, and manage the match minutes of the goalkeepers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Head of Coaching and Lead Phase Coach to deliver an age-specific technical and tactical coaching programme for all goalkeepers in the Academy pathway.
Provide high-quality goalkeeping coaching throughout the pathway, supporting learning in line with the club's philosophy and methodology.
Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the U21s goalkeeping programme, working in partnership with the MDT.
Develop and implement a successful goalkeeping syllabus.
Play a key role in player release and retention processes, and identify new targets through the club’s recruitment process.
Use evidence-based approaches to player development, incorporating data from performance analysts.
Create a positive learning environment fostering player development.
Support and manage the foundation goalkeeper coach and mentor student coaches as needed.
Assist Head Coaches with the Academy training programme.
Coach set plays such as corners, free kicks, and restarts for the U21s.
Take responsibility for integrating goalkeepers with other units as appropriate.
Contribute to a culture that maximizes player talent across the four-corner model, enhancing team performance and aiding transition to the Women’s 1st Team.
Produce and continuously review Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for all goalkeepers.
Support the first team Goalkeeper Coach in training first team goalkeepers.
Maintain up-to-date coaching qualifications and membership in the Coaches Licence Club.
Attend internal and external CPD events for personal development, approved by line manager.
Ensure compliance with FA Rules and Regulations, Competition Rules, and Respect guidelines.
Represent Birmingham City Women FC professionally at all times.
