What is the role?
This role is within the Academy Recruitment Department and will be assisting in the identification and recruitment of players, organising academy recruitment information and supporting the scouting team through video, statistical or text-based work.
What will you be doing?
You will be required to produce player videos and dossiers on recommended players to a high standard, in line with the department process. In addition, you will enhance the work completed by part time scouts and full-time members of staff within the Scouting, Recruitment and Analysis departments by assisting in player identification and due diligence.
In this role, you will analyse procured match footage to agreed criteria and maintain a video library of players of interest to the football club. You will be expected to support the video scouting of academy matches, in line with the club requirements along with briefing scouts pre-trip, and debrief them post trip, to prepare, research, and deliver efficient scouting at tournaments, festivals and one-off matches with scouting handbooks and youth tournaments.
You may be required to attend live matches in the UK and Europe to follow up on players identified, as directed by management. You will also be required to keep up-to-date with all new technology and methodology related to scouting and talent identification.
Is this you?
The ideal candidate for this role should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience in creating and delivering presentations. They should be highly organised and have the ability to manage multiple tasks at once, whilst ensuring quality work is produced.
