Role Title: Volunteer Coach (Health & Wellbeing)
Location: Stadium and across Swansea community venues.

Working Hours: Volunteer Hours as and when (mostly evenings and some daytime)
Role Purpose: To support the delivery of our Health & Wellbeing projects.

Definition:
A Swans Foundation volunteer is someone who, unpaid and of their own free will, chooses to give their time to support the delivery of Foundation activities. The arrangement is voluntary on both sides. The charity’s relationship with volunteers is based on trust and is not intended to have the obligations associated with employment. No payment, other than the reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses, is made by the Foundation to people who give their time as volunteers.
Purpose:
Volunteer Coaches play a vital role in ensuring the sustainability of the Health & Wellbeing projects, supporting staff members of Swansea City AFC Foundation and participants of our projects.
Responsibilities:
· You will proactively contribute to the health and wellbeing of people within the local and wider community by supporting the delivery of our health and wellbeing projects across the charity associated with healthy lifestyles, physical and mental/emotional health and wellbeing.
· To follow the Foundation’s code of conduct.
General
· Volunteering Weekly, mostly weekdays, some hours in the evenings and also some weekends.
· Assisting delivery at the Swansea.com Stadium and various community settings including indoor and outdoor venues, easily accessible.
· One to one supervision meetings on a regular/quarterly basis as well as day to day support as needed
Qualities:
· An interest in making a difference to local communities.
· A genuine interest in people and supporting them with their health and wellbeing.
· IT competent for working with iPads.
· Ability and willingness to take direction.
· Confident communicator.
· Experience of being part of a team and using own initiative.
· A friendly, sociable, and approachable manner.
· Ability to manage own time and task load.
· Knowledge of the local area/s and ability to travel.

Expenses:
· Reasonable expenses include any food expenses where volunteers are asked to work over 5 hours.
· Volunteers can also claim reasonable travel expenses, including any expense incurred in getting to and from any sessions. Travel expenses will be paid in line with the Foundation expenses policy and all conditions will still apply (volunteers will need to provide driver’s license, evidence of mileage and evidence of business insurance cover).
“Either party can choose to end the volunteer arrangement at any time, without notice, however both parties will endeavour to provide reasonable written notice wherever possible. Reasons for ending the arrangement could include either party feeling that they are no longer benefiting from the arrangement. Swans Foundation may end the arrangement if they feel the volunteer is not suitable for the role or no longer represents the values of the organisation.”
