Job Description Summary
Sporting Kansas City seeks a Video Producer & Editor to help elevate the club’s visual storytelling and content on social and digital platforms (including Apple TV), in our stadium, within club advertising, sponsorships, and across all Sporting Club enterprises. Reporting to the Video Production Manager, this individual will work closely with others on the creative and digital marketing teams to execute the content vision and goals of the Marketing department. This individual will push creative boundaries – both for themselves and the Club – as they learn and grow together, striving to help us reach our mission of being the premier sports club in the Midwest and Major League Soccer.

The Video Producer & Editor will bring technical know-how to video production - including but not limited to - shooting, editing, motion graphics, equipment operation, lighting and production. This will position will collaborate closely with the larger Marketing and Communications department to produce videos that showcase our team, promote events, and enhance fan engagement while ensuring all work is consistent with the Sporting KC brand purpose: "we create memories through personalized experiences with our Club."

Essential Functions
  • Create engaging video and motion graphics content for all Club channels and platforms: online, social media, in-stadium, on-demand, paid advertising
  • Create, produce and edit videos and features for Sporting Kansas City content channels that connect with both local and global audiences
  • Manage post-production processes, including color correction, sound design, and final delivery formats
  • Work with wider Marketing team to conceptualize campaigns and craft compelling narrative that highlight key Club moments
  • Provide event coverage including live match action, trainings, youth camps and tournaments, private stadium events, media events, player appearances and community outreach
  • Create content and video concepts in accordance with our key moments, brand campaigns, and partnership obligations, working with Marketing leadership to prioritize these concepts by highest impact against our club and departmental goals
  • Operate and maintain video equipment; ensure all footage is organized and accessible in a timely manner.
  • Complete any league or broadcast content requests quickly and eViciently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related aViliates in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned

Matchday Responsibilities
  • Shooting, production, and editing video content for all matchday shot list assignments
  • Available for away match travel (as needed)
  • Other matchday duties as assigned

Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Photography, Communications, or other related field preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of shooting experience with professional cameras.
  • Minimum of two (2) years working in video production.
  • Proven experience in video editing and production, preferably within sports or entertainment.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and motion graphics (e.g., After Effects).
  • Strong understanding of video storytelling techniques and visual aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of digital platforms and social media best practices for video content.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
  • Spanish fluency a plus, but not required
  • Must be available to work some nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to provide a link to a reel or previous work required.
