An exciting opportunity has arisen at Aldershot Town Football Club as we are seeking to recruit an innovative, forward thinking and hardworking lead age group coaches across our academy.
An Academy Lead Age Group Coach will be responsible for organising, planning and delivering fun and engaging coaching sessions in line with the vision, coaching and playing philosophies of Aldershot Town FC.
Candidates should demonstrate outstanding personal skills and excellent knowledge of player development whilst having a clear understanding of player pathway.
Key role responsibilities:
- To connect with our children and support/challenge them.
- Design and implement practices that are specific to the age of players you are working
with, whilst aligning to our principles of play.
- To be responsible for the planning, delivering and the reviewing high quality sessions in line
with our coaches curriculum.
- Provide players with individual development targets and conduct reviews during the
course of the season with player & parent.
- Where required, provide written and oral reports of coaching sessions and games.
- To attend two evening training sessions per week and programme games on a Saturday.
- To act professional when arriving for training/ games, be set up and ready 15 minutes
prior to the players’ arrival.
- Work in line with the clubs playing and coaching philosophy to promote culture and
identity throughout the academy.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, to give our players the best experience.
- To demonstrate your commitment to equality, inclusion and anti-discrimination.
- To maintain up-to-date qualifications and CPD events.
- To comply with the Club's ‘Code of Conduct’ regulations
- Any other reasonable duties, as requested by Academy Manager/Lead Phase Coach.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- UEFA ‘C’ license for foundation phase/UEFA ‘B’ licence for youth development phase
- FA youth award
- Valid FA emergency first aid in football qualification
- Valid FA safeguarding children certificate
- DBS clearance
- Experience working in football
- 8 GCSEs (including a ‘4’ or above in english language and maths)
- Desirable skills and qualifications
- experience working with players within the professional game.
- UEFA ‘A’ license
- FA advanced youth award
