Job Description

Who are we: We are Everton Football Club and we are icons of world football. As one of the bastions of the global game, with a rich and successful history, we are now setting our sights on a new, exciting future.

With a proud and illustrious past, the Club is currently embarking on a new and exciting journey with the construction of our new stadium on the banks of the River Mersey. With that exciting development comes an ambition to have a Men’s and Women’s First Team squad that is competing regularly at the top of domestic and European football.

Our values underpin how we behave, how we represent our club in our city, and across the world of football, and how we look after one another daily. They provide a framework for how we work with partners, suppliers, and most importantly our fans.

About the opportunity: We are currently embarking on one of the most significant and exciting chapters in our history. With the construction of our new stadium near completion, we are searching for Partnership Sales Lead(s) to come and join our commercial team as we look to capitalise on the new revenue growth opportunities that a 52,000 capacity sports and entertainment destination provides.

As a Partnership Sales Lead, you will play a key role in supporting commercial growth through the acquisition of new Club / Stadium partners.

Reporting directly into our Head of Partnership Sales, you will be focussed on lead generation and outreach, co-ordinating the sales process from first contact to successful lead / progressed or qualified conversations.

Working closely with the wider Commercial Partnerships team, you will help develop compelling narratives and sales collateral that assists in generating pipelines of commercial leads and opportunities.

Not only will you get to be a part of a moment in history for a storied Football Club, but you will play an essential role in delivering against ambitious plans for commercial growth.

Who we’re looking for: We are looking for ambitious, hungry sales professionals, who are hardworking, and target driven. You will have exceptional communication skills with an ability to influence positive action and results across a talented team of people.

Experience of working within a events, venue, stadium, or arena partnerships team would be advantageous, but essentially you will have a demonstrable track record of sales success in a business-to-business environment, preferably in the likes of advertising sales or similar and a good understanding of what it takes to maintain and develop the most productive client relationships.

We want someone that will be able to make Everton Football Club stand out in an increasingly competitive sports sponsorship market.

If you are passionate about being a part of something transformative and have an ambitious spirit suited to operating in a fast-paced environment, then we would love to hear from you!

This position is a permanent opportunity, working 35 hours per week with the closing date for this role being Thursday 10th October 2024.

The location for this role is open for discussion, but there will be a requirement for physical presence at the Club’s iconic headquarters in the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool for sales / departmental meetings, we also offer the opportunity to work flexibly with our Hybrid working approach.
