Job Description

The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is on an exhilarating trajectory, expanding its reach and redefining the landscape of women's sports. With rapid expansion into new markets, the league is capturing the hearts and minds of fans across the nation, fueling record-breaking attendance figures and shattering viewership numbers. As a result, the NWSL is experiencing a surge in commercial interest and is expanding its Commercial business organization.

Reporting to the SVP, Partnerships, the Director, Partner Solutions will be responsible for building out a new function focused on playing a cross-departmental role identifying and creating compelling tentpoles, platforms, activations and stories that will assist with driving incremental revenue for the entire organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Business Development and Partner Management teams to align partner goals with innovative and tailored partnership campaigns
  • Act as a lead resource for the department, providing expertise, guidance, and support in partnership marketing strategy, proposal development, pitch proposal delivery, and execution to ensure alignment with overall business objectives
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team and SportFive to create compelling proposals and platforms that drive revenue growth, expand, and maximize existing and new category opportunities
  • Consult with the Partnership Management team to develop strategic plans that address shifting brand priorities for key partnership renewals and growth opportunities
  • Lead the end-to-end creative proposal process, including gathering insights, developing asset packages, creating presentation decks that tell a compelling story, conducting cost analysis, and managing agencies as needed
  • Utilize insights and data from internal data team, third-party vendors, external agencies, consultants, and league/market research to build and enhance the partnership portfolio
  • Facilitate and lead brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and concepts for partner growth, focusing on awareness, traffic driving, interactive and digital campaigns, and hospitality initiatives

Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA, JD, or further business education preferred.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in partnership marketing, activation, partner solutions or partnership management at a league, team or agency with proven track record of growth
