About this role:
At Crystal Palace F.C., we're committed to being a diverse and inclusive football club. To support this mission, we are seeking passionate and committed volunteers to join our External EDI Advisory Group. This group will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing our EDI agenda. As an External EDI Advisor, you'll work alongside the Chief People Officer and EDI Coordinator and contribute to the implementation and review of our EDI Strategy and Delivery Plan, enabling us to achieve our objectives effectively.
This role presents a unique opportunity to influence meaningful change within the club and the broader football community. By joining Crystal Palace F.C.'s External EDI Advisory Group, you will directly contribute to the delivery of the club’s EDI strategy, ensuring that our work is inclusive, and progressive.
Responsibilities:
Liaise directly with the Chief People Officer to ensure the Club is open and accessible to underrepresented people groups, with particular focus on the protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
Attend and contribute to all meetings (2-3h, quarterly).
Share personal knowledge, awareness and experience of community issues with the group.
Provide advice on the potential impact club policies have on communities, employees and supporters with particular reference to EDI.
Assist Crystal Palace FC in promoting its EDI strategy, including events to the wider community.
Provide advice and guidance to CPFC on EDI Reviews
Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion on all matters discussed.
Consult on and provide input into Crystal Palace FC's EDI Strategy.
Uphold and promote the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Passion for and understanding of EDI, with a focus on applying intersectionality.
Experience and drive to influence constructive change, whilst building on existing relationships within network associations or organisations.
Knowledge and understanding of current legislation.
Effective communication and active listening skills.
