Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist to deliver ongoing care, and a safe and supportive environment, at our Girls Emerging Talent Centre, and Boys Emerging Talent Squad. You will be responsible for appropriate medical supervision and high-quality injury prevention and rehabilitation, joining a team of experienced and dedicated coaches, developing the next generation of footballers.

Job description

As Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist you will:

  • Liaise with coaching staff regarding players' injury status and availability;
  • Design and deliver individual injury prevention programmes;
  • Operate within professional boundaries, and follow agreed processes relating to referrals to other colleagues / agencies;
  • Keep records which meet the standard required by The FA and the appropriate professional bodies.

 

Person specification

As successful candidate you will:

  • Have a passion for youth sports development;
  • Have experience working with players aged 8-16 in a sport setting;
  • Be a HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registered Physiotherapist, or a Sports Therapist who holds a degree in Sports Therapy and has full membership of the SST (Society of Sports Therapy);
  • Have an in-date Advanced Emergency Aid qualification;
  • Be reliable, organised, flexible and willing to learn;
  • Be available for some evening, weekend and/or holiday work.
