About this role:
Working closely with the Commercial team, the Partnership Search and Activation Manager will be responsible for research and lead generating new clients plus managing and maximizing Crystal Palace growing portfolio of Club Partners. This remit includes all associated partnership planning and activation programmers. In doing so, the Partnership Research and activation Manager will be required to maximize performance at all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Management of club partnerships in line with their business objectives and partnership KPI’s.
- Ensuring all contractual rights are delivering in a timely manner and to the highest standard.
- Management of the team supporting the delivery of partnership rights and the search for new partners.
- Planning and implementation of partnership marketing campaigns, working with the Club’s marketing department and taking into consideration marketing strategy and business objectives.
- Working with partners to ensure delivery of activation campaigns and events including on match days and at other times when required.
- Publishing a monthly commercial newsletter
- Establishing and maintaining strong internal relationships within the Club to aid the delivery of sponsorship rights and the addition of new potential partners.
- Effectively build and sustain strong corporate partner and agency relationships
- Manage events and activities featuring the first team squad, women’s squad, Palace for Life Foundation and Club ambassadors (such as meet & greets, filming, photo shoots, open training sessions and official Club events) with support from the extended commercial team.
- Track the effectiveness of sponsorship campaigns and provide detailed analysis on key success measures demonstrating ROI.
- Build best in class case studies for use across the partnership team and Club channels.
- Effectively manage partnership accounts via the Club’s CRM systems.
- Attend weekly content meetings to ensure the business is made aware and kept up to date on partner requirements and campaigns.
- Responsible for sponsorship materials, presentations and meetings (renewal proposals, mid-season and end-of-year recap presentations, upsell sales opportunities, meeting agendas, etc).
- Responsible for providing the sales team with brand decks, brand creatives & activation ideas for sales meetings.
- Provide market wide benchmarking reports.
- Track the effectiveness of sponsorship campaigns and provide detailed analysis on key success measures demonstrating ROI.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
- Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
<br> Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in partnership account management with evidence to demonstrate.
- A strong knowledge of digital marketing, the sponsorship industry and current trends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
- The ability to quickly build trust and relationships.
- Good organisational and planning skills.
- Flexible and willing to adapt to cover business needs.
- Able to confidently present to partners at senior level.
- IT literate and highly competent in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Pro-active, confident and a self-starter.
- Willing to work between locations, match days and to be flexible with working hours (including working weekends).
