Job Title: Casual Cricket Development Coach

Department: Sports Development

Location: Various locations across Burnley and Pendle

Contract Type: Casual/Zero Hours

Working Pattern: 6 hours per week (Mon, Tues, Fri and Sat)

Closing Date: Monday 14th October 2024

Salary: £11.44 per hour

The Role

The Sports Development department are looking for highly enthusiastic cricket coaches to deliver on a range of cricket programmes delivered to 5-16 years old

 

Roles and Responsibilities

·       To deliver high-quality cricket sessions that engage, enthuse and progress young people.

·       To engage, inspire and empower young people to reach their full potential.

·       To liaise with the Sports Development Manager and Cricket Development Officer, and proactively promote the Sports Development programmes and carry out all meaningful tasks, when so asked to do, by the Sports Development Manager. 

·       To work in partnership with BFCitC and Burnley Football Club departments on community initiatives as identified by the Head of Football Development, CEO of BFCitC and Board of Trustees.

·       To ensure that the health and safety issues are implemented in all areas of the programme. 

·       Identify talented individuals involved in the projects and refer those individuals to appropriate destinations.

·       Work with individuals and/or groups from a range of diverse backgrounds.

·       To understand and implement the Charity’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines in your role. To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to a safe environment.

·       To be able to work flexible hours where the role of the job requires.

·       To work towards agreed objectives.

·       Comply with all Charity policies.

·       Promote the Burnley FC in the Community brand and ethos in a professional, strong, and positive manner.

·       Work alongside other team members to support in other areas of the organisation as and when required to promote best practice.

·       Hold a commitment to equality and diversity in the workplace.

·       Willingness to attend training courses to enhance own professional development.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills

·       Level 1 in Coaching Cricket

·       Experience of planning and delivering regular cricket coaching sessions

·       Full clean driving license with access to own transport
