Head Coach Position in Colombia
The "Academia Alemana de Fútbol Popayán AAFP," founded by two Germans in 2017, is seeking a dedicated young coach. Our U17 and U15 teams compete in the top national league, against all professional teams. We recruit highly talented players from all over Colombia and train them for several years in Popayán (capital of the Cauca Department), following European standards (GPS, athletic training, Veo video analysis, etc.) with a modern game philosophy. Our goal is to enable the players to transition to the international level.
With Luis Vasquez (2003/Red Bull Salzburg), Carlos Ocoro (2004/Al Jazira, UAE), Oscar Benitez (2004/Red Bull Bragantino), Juan Gutierrez (2005/New York Red bulls), Andres Preciado (Mineros de Zacatecas) and Luis Mosquera (2006/Necaxa), six players have already made this leap.
Our close Red Bull affinity encourages us in our actions, our Academy also takes part in the well-known U16 “Next Generation Trophy” tournament, hosted by Red Bull Salzburg in Austria every year, where we have competed against top international teams like Chelsea, Valencia, Brighton & Hove Albion, among others.
Some of our players have qualified for the Colombian U-national teams, and several players who leave our academy at the age of 18 have signed a contract as pro player in the domestic 1st and 2nd leagues.
Ideal qualifications:
- Independent
- A or B license
- Solid experience in youth sector
- Absolute passion and love for football
- Team player
- Interest in a fascinating country like Colombia and the Spanish language
