About The Role
 

Stevenage Football Club Academy is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, talented, confident and hard-working individual to join our coaching team at The Lamex Stadium on a part time basis.

 Currently in League one and operating a Category Three Academy, Stevenage is an ideal club for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic coach, who loves the game and takes great pride in the professional development of young players and themselves.

Working part time within the Academy structure the successful candidate will be able to accelerate their coaching by working with a great variety of players from U15-U16 and in very close proximity to our Professional Development Phase. 

The role includes overseeing the delivery of the U15-U16 coaching programme. Working closely with the Youth Development Phase Lead, Academy Manager, Head of Coaching and other multi disciplines to ensure departmental performance targets are maintained and achieved.
 
The successful applicant will be required to coach, plan, deliver and evaluate coaching sessions in accordance with the Club Philosophy.

ACADEMY COACH JOB DESCRIPTION

Roles and Responsibilities

Plan, record and deliver coaching sessions that follow the club philosophy and deliver the coaching syllabus for your respective age group

 

To record session plans and submit attendance accordingly for every session delivered within the 9-18 Academy Programme via the Performance Management Application (Kitman labs)

 

To evaluate and cross reference learning objectives to the individual’s outcomes 

 

Ensure multidisciplinary communication is maintained for the benefit of your players

 

To submit all Academy phase reviews every 6 weeks

 

To ensure the welfare and safeguarding of all players in your care at all times

 

To contribute to the recruitment & trial process of the programme if/when required

 

To be responsible for your age group on match day, including to plan, observe and provide feedback regarding individual player performance.

 

To attend all Academy meetings where applicable and undertake appropriate CPD as per EFL and club rules

 

To complete any other duties as deemed reasonable by the Lead Phase Coach

UEFA B licence outfield award

FA Youth Module 3 (assessed)

Recognised First Aid Qualification (Emergency Aid)

FA Basic First Aid for Sport (BFAS) or FA Intermediate First Aid for Sport (IFAS)

PTLLS or other teaching qualification

Extensive knowledge and experience of the role and the position

Experience working across academy age groups

Understanding of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)

Experience of scouting & talent identification processes and procedures
