Job Description

Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the 27th Club in January 2019. Austin FC officially began MLS competition in April 2021, and played its first home match on June 19, 2021, at Q2 Stadium, a brand new, 100% privately funded, state-of-the-art stadium in Austin. Now in its fourth season, Austin FC currently holds the longest active sellout streak in MLS.  

Austin FC is currently seeking a passionate and proactive Event Sales Manager who will be responsible for handling clients from the first interaction, as well as directing the booking, planning, and execution of events at Q2 Stadium and St. David's Performance Center. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing client follow-ups, post-event evaluations, and maintaining detailed records of all client interactions.  

This position will be based in Austin, TX and the position will be held in person at Q2 Stadium.

You will be responsible for:
· Support bookings and other events at Q2 Stadium and St. David's Performance Centre; and
· Prospect, cold call, qualify, and develop relationships that actively solicit new business and respond to inquiries with the intent of creating profitable business and achieving annual sales goals; and 
· Use existing contacts to drive business, whilst continually working to develop new, profitable relationships through internal/external events and stadium visits; and 
· Coordinate and manage all information entered into the facility reservation system. This includes reviewing and updating reservation data to ensure accurate information is maintained to provide the highest utilization of venues and spaces; and 
· Periodically track and analyze all sales and revenue-related data, including but not limited to lead volume, closing rate, and event financial metrics; and 
· Provide the Senior Director of Event Bookings with regular updates on outstanding contracts, payments, and other reports as needed; and 
· Coordinate stadium visits, provide tours to prospective clients, and arrange proposal details with the Senior Director of Event Bookings and Event Manager; and 
· Ensure that the stadium operations department is updated on all new, revised or cancelled reservations; and 
· Collaborate with the marketing department in creating marketing materials and sales collateral to assist in the overall sales process, from lead generation to booking, to drive strategy and revenue; and 
· Act as a liaison between the facility and clients regarding event space availability; and 
· Collaborate with the procurement team in the ongoing development of menu and food options for customers, as well as in the analysis of key performance indicators; and
· Maintain knowledge of the corporate and social events industry, current trends and the competitive landscape; and 
· Support internal departments on events, activations and contractually secured projects as required; and 
· Serve as shift manager when requested.

You have:
· College degree or bachelor's degree (required)
· Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the hotel sector or relevant experience
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
· High competence in Microsoft applications, Excel, and knowledge of event booking technologies
· Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
· Proficiency in English is essential, and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
· An exceptional work ethic, as well as excellent attention to detail 
· Interest in sales, negotiations, contracts and the process of closing deals
