Founded in 1884, Wiltshire FA is the not-for-profit, football organisation for Wiltshire. We grow participation, promote diversity and inclusion, and uphold the integrity of our national game for everyone to enjoy.

With around 1,400 teams and over 23,000 players of all ages and abilities playing in the county, Wiltshire FA is proud to support football for all.

Responsibilities

  • To lead the development, implementation, and review of our Communication and Content plan, in order to support our strategy and The FA National Game Strategy
  • To lead the creation of communication and content that is purposeful and engages relevant stakeholders, comprised chiefly of:
    • Material that supports the achievement of our purpose
    • Material in support of our key campaigns and activities, and
    • Material provided by The FA and others in relation to campaigns and activities we support
  • To lead the (reactive) Press Office function, the development of appropriate responses, and the monitoring of relevant issues, opportunities, and risks.

Qualifications

  • Experience of writing and producing engaging content for a range of media channels, through the use of storytelling
  • A proven track record of raising an organisation's profile through a wide range of media
  • A good understanding of marketing communication techniques and how to maximize the use of digital and social media platforms
  • Demonstrates a working understanding of inclusion, equity, and anti-discrimination
  • Experience of developing new partnerships
  • Practical experience of marketing communication, ideally within the sports sector
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and partners at all levels
  • Project management skills and experience – to plan, set and achieve objectives within strict deadlines
  • Experience of managing budgets and resources
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and IT skills
  • Working knowledge and understanding of GDPR regulations
  • Valid Full UK Driving License and use of a car.
