Brief Description

The Cluster Venue Logistics Officer will have close ties with Q22 and FIFA Logistics to ensure full integration of planning and operations.

Finally, this role will assist in the planning and integration within assigned work streams fo areas including, but not limited to, accreditation, staffing, workforce welfare, and training.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for reviewing, validating, and coordinating material plans with all venue-based FAs
• Responsible for contributing to the development, implementation, and managing Logistics’ Venue Operating Plans for assigned cluster(s), this includes the bump-in, re-supply, transition, and bump-out plans for all sites
• Liaise with Logistics Service Provider and vendors to lead venue logistics services for assigned cluster
• Perform site visits, FF&E audits, and stock takes - sometimes independently – as necessary
• Responsible for contributing to the  venue-based timelines, milestones, and deliverables
• Participate in supervising of staff, coordinating individual work assignments, setting project goals, evaluating performance, and determining training requirements for contracted staff and workforce
• Will contribute in the information flow to all Functions with regards to Venue Logistics operations in relation to delivery of function requested materials from MLC to Venue
• Coordinate with other Logistics sub-projects to ensure an integrated supply chain, and effective back of house operations
• Provide ongoing reports on venue logistics progress and needs to Cluster Venue Logistics Senior Specialist

• Provide input to departmental/divisional planning and administration matters
• Adapt to the needs of the role as per the organization’s evolution
• Ensure the assigned responsibilities are delivered:
• to a high standard of quality and timeliness
• in full compliance with the SC Quality Policy and the Safety and Security rules and requirements
• in line with any standards and objectives designated in the Employee Performance Management system

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management or related field and relevant experience
Experience and skills

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in large scale, international event logistics
• Experience in Qatar and Middle East region will be an added benefit
• Proven ability to interact with multiple departments
• Excellent analytical and people management skills
• Flexibility and a related ability to work autonomously
• Positive attitude, patience, and persistence
• Proven experience in managing client’s groups and delivery stakeholder’s relationship, aligning demand, and deliverables
• Understanding of operational planning and delivery experience in large scale international sport events would be an added benefit
• Ability to understand the big picture and adapt accordingly
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Team player, willing to work on tight timelines and contribute when needed
