Brief Description

The appointed candidate will be responsible for contributing to the Tournament wide planning as well as overseeing an assigned cluster of accommodation sites and the delivery of site logistics services – in support of HC Accommodation operations – within the Event Logistics Operations sub-project.

This role will be expected to liaise with internal senior management, external stakeholders (including, but not limited to third party logistics suppliers) and senior business professionals in order to support the HC Accommodation Project using agreed upon service levels as indicated in the Concept of Operations plan maintained by the Logistics Project.


Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for reviewing, validating, and coordinating material requirements with HC Accommodation Project across all Official and Non-Official sites
• Responsible for leading site logistics teams in delivery of logistics services for – and in operational logistics support of – HC Accommodation operations
• Responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and coordinating site operating plans across all assigned sites
• Liaise with Logistics Service Provider and vendors to lead site logistics services
• Perform site visits, FF&E audits, and stock takes - sometimes independently – as necessary
• Responsible for managing site-based timelines, milestones, and deliverables

• Provide input to departmental/divisional planning and administration matters
• Adapt to the needs of the role as per the organization’s evolution
• Ensure the assigned responsibilities are delivered:
- to a high standard of quality and timeliness
- in full compliance with the SC Quality Policy and the Safety and Security rules and requirements
- in line with any standards and objectives designated in the Employee Performance Management system


Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management or related field and relevant experience
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in large scale, international event logistics
• Experience in Qatar and Middle East region will be an added benefit
• Understanding of hospitality / accommodation logistics with regards to cruise ships and/or hotels
• Proven ability to interact with multiple departments
• Excellent analytical and people management skills
• Flexibility and a related ability to work autonomously
• Positive attitude, patience, and persistence
• Proven experience in managing client’s groups and delivery stakeholder’s relationship, aligning demand, and deliverables
• Understanding of operational planning and delivery experience in large scale international sport events
• Ability to understand the big picture and adapt accordingly
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Team player, willing to work on tight timelines and contribute when needed
