Job Description

Our Creative Director will be someone with exceptional ideation skills, strong editorial prowess and an understanding of the end-to-end process of delivering creative solutions to clients - from conception through to delivery. The role will collaborate with sales colleagues, partnership managers and creative solutions team members to deliver best-in-class creative solutions for clients. It will also work closely with Editors, designers, project managers to deliver a successful online product for consumers and advertisers.



  • Develop consistently best-in-class creative concepts in responses to client briefs that position OneFootball as the go-to business in the marketplace.
  • Lead multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines.
  • Lead creative ideation brainstorms and work closely with strategy/ insights team to ensure data is always at the heart of the creative we are developing.
  • Illustrate your ideas through pitch documents, storyboards and other collateral.
  • Check copy on delivery and provide feedback to contributors when features need reworking or developing. Ensure all material complies with editorial guidelines and is received as expected based on the original brief
  • To form close relationships with the editors, to ensure native content ideation are compliant and complimentary to the feature site.
  • Understand social media trends and work with and challenge our team to find innovative new approaches for distributing our commercial content across social platforms.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with creative teams at agencies to ensure OneFootball is front of mind for creative executions.
  • Be aware of industry trends and suggest back to the business areas of development for the OneFootball creative solutions offering.


  • You have minimum 8 years’ experience working in a creative environment (brand or agency).
  • You understand the football media landscape and what makes engaging content.
  • You are competent in writing content to a high standard.
  • Experience working as part of a broadcast/news/journalism organisation or independent company.
  • You have substantial experience in creating pitch documentation and expertise in presenting an idea to client and agencies.
  • You are an innovator and problem-solver with a solution-first approach to both external and internal challenges.
  • You can turn an ‘idea’ into a fully-fledged solution that can be sold to clients.
  • You have excellent communication skills & ability to work in partnership with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • You are comfortable ‘in the grey’; not all briefs will be the clearest and there will not always be time to response in a purist way, so you will need to be agile, commercial and adaptable.
