Job Description

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust currently have a vacancy for the following role:

  • Casual Neighbourhood Youth Worker

This role closes at 12pm on Friday 7th November



Overall purpose of the Job

This role will involve working within the local community (predominantly under 18s) of Blackburn with Darwen to deliver youth engagement (and optionally sport) provision. The post holder will support a varied youth engagement timetable targeting a variety of ages between 8 and 19 (and up to 25 for those with SEND).

The role requires an individual with experience working in a youth club/community sport setting and a good understanding of children/young people in the borough.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

To be responsible for the following:
To support the delivery of a varied timetable of engagement provision/opportunities across BwD neighbourhoods.

Be part of a team that delivers sessions across the neighbourhood provision footprint.

To offer support to help develop and provide innovative provision.

To help embed a positive culture across all delivery.

To attend relevant meetings and training

Support the management of all sports facilities and equipment usage across the neighbourhoods.

Promote the Neighbourhood offer to local communities.

To assist with the monitoring and evaluating of sessions

 

General

To always be approachable and represent Blackburn Rovers Community Trust in a professional manner regarding presentation, attitude, conduct and professionalism.

To be able to work flexible and unsociable hours where the role of the job requires including evenings and weekends.
