Brief Description
The role of Ceremonies Senior Specialist is to ensure the successful delivery of the logistics requirements where the HC is responsible for producing ceremonies. The role will require a high level of coordination between the Logistics Project and all ceremonies delivery partners to ensure their requirements are captured and delivered upon and within the agreed upon levels of services. The appointed candidate will be responsible for overseeing Tournament wide planning and delivery of site logistics services – in support of ceremonies operations – within the Support Logistics Operations sub-project. This role will be expected to liaise with internal senior management, external stakeholders (including, but not limited to third party logistics suppliers) and senior business professionals in order to support the Fan Zone project using agreed upon service levels as indicated in the Concept of Operations plan maintained by the Logistics Project.

• Responsible for reviewing, validating, and coordinating material requirements with HC Ceremonies Project across all Official and Non-Official sites
• Responsible for leading site logistics teams in delivery of logistics services for – and in operational logistics support of – HC Fan Zone operations
• Responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and coordinating site operating plans across all assigned sites
• Liaise with Logistics Service Provider and vendors to lead site logistics services
• Perform site visits, FF&E audits, and stock takes - sometimes independently – as necessary
• Responsible for managing site-based timelines, milestones, and deliverables

• Provide input to departmental/divisional planning and administration matters
• Adapt to the needs of the role as per the organization’s evolution
Job Requirements
Education and certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management or related field and relevant experience
Experience and skills
• Minimum 12+ years of experience in large scale, international event logistics
• Experience in Qatar and Middle East region will be an added benefit
• Proven ability to interact with multiple departments
• Previous experience working on large scale ceremonies or experiential marketing installations
• Excellent analytical and people management skills
• Flexibility and a related ability to work autonomously
• Positive attitude, patience, and persistence
• Proven experience in managing client’s groups and delivery stakeholder’s relationship, aligning demand, and deliverables
• Understanding of operational planning and delivery experience in large scale international sport events
• Ability to understand the big picture and adapt accordingly
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Team player, willing to work on tight timelines and contribute when needed
