Facilities Assistant

 

Superstadium Management Company have an exciting new opportunity available for a Facilities Assistant, who will join our team based at the MKM Stadium in Hull.

 

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be on hand to help ensure that all estates are in the best condition for all users. This may require regular travel to other sites in the Hull area.

 

We are looking for someone with strong communication and customer service skills, who can be on hand to liaise with and supervise external contractors and carry out PPM’s.

 

Normal working days are typically Monday to Friday, however this role will be working within a busy sporting and entertainment environment, and as such we are looking for someone who can be available to work flexible hours, which may include weekends (when required).

 

Position Type: Permanent contract

Hours: 37.5 per week (full time)

Location: MKM Stadium, Hull, HU3 6HU

Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Your key responsibilities

 

·         Follow the finance policy for projects and supplies quotes.

·         Tender for contracts as per the finance policy.

·         Ensure planned & reactive facilities requests are completed in a timely fashion, escalating issues where necessary.

·         Call out contractors when required.

·         Support the Facilities Manager with upkeep and improvements.

·         Take the lead and manage the jobs raised on the in-house Helpdesk.

·         Follow up with contractors for certification.

·         Plan and manage PPM schedule.

·         Manage statutory compliance schedule of works.

·         Answer questions relating to estate recreation programs, services, and facilities.

·         Support with minute taking in meetings with the Facilities Manager and raise jobs accordingly.

·         Supervision of contractors and ensure work permits are adhered to in the absence of the facilities manager.

·         Provide support to the Facilities Team where necessary.

 

What are we looking for?

 

·         Reasonable understanding of electrics & plumbing.

·         Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely.

·         Ability to work with people at all levels within the organisation in order to manage expectations with regard to facilities.

·         Intermediate level computer skills.

 

 

·         Good oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

·         The ability to think creatively, work using own initiative and find solutions to problems.

·         Strong team player who can work under pressure.

·         Ability to work with people at all levels within the organisation in order to manage expectations with regard to facilities.

·         Ability to effectively monitor and communicate to contractors, guests, and employees.

·         Punctuality, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines .

·         Ability to multi-task and think critically .

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and IT Systems.

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

·         IOSH working certificate

·         Previous experience of maintenance and repairs

·         Full UK Driving Licence

 

Desirable Skills & Experience:

·         NEBOSH certificate

·         Understanding of CAFM systems

·         Understanding of BMS systems

 

Eligibility for Employment in the UK
