Title: Women’s Performance Analyst Work Placement
Department: Blackburn Rovers Women Football Club
Based at: Blackburn Rovers Academy, Brockhall Village, Old Langho, Blackburn BB6 8BA.
Reports to: Women’s Lead analyst
Placement length: July 2024 – May 2025
Placement Purpose: The successful placement will gain experience in all areas involving the performance analysis of the Women’s team as well as experiences within the team training and match day environment.
Experience and development opportunities:
To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all stakeholders, promoting their well-being whilst maintaining professional boundaries;
To support with the collection and coding of match day and training day footage;
To support with the collection and recording of statistical data;
To assist with the compilation of weekly reports with appropriate visual data;
Facilitate and assist player self-analysis and reflection
To support management of match analysis information via the PMA management tool;
To support with the management of the match analysis database;
To assist in the creation of reports to assist generating individual players targets; and
To support with the storage and organization of individual and team footage on HUDL.
Skills and knowledge required:
IT literate including Microsoft Word and Excel;
Film and camera competent such as Veo and Hudl Focus.
Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders;
Ability to perform group and individual presentations;
Able to utilise and understand data metrics;
Knowledge of industry related software such as Sportscode or HUDL;
Open minded and eager to learn;
Hard working and conscientious;
Driven and ambitious; and
A passion for sport.
Qualifications required:
At a recognised educational institution to be working towards a relevant degree at undergraduate or MSc level.
