Job Description

LALIGA, the club association representing the top two tiers of men’s professional football in Spain, seeks an experienced candidate for the role of International Delegate for the UK & Ireland markets. This position is full-time, based at LALIGA’s offices in King’s Cross, London.

 

Responsibilities:

You must be a highly motivated candidate with proven intercultural communication skills and prior experience in the sport / entertainment industry who can support multiple facets of LALIGA’s work in the UK & Ireland markets:

 

Stakeholder relations

  • Relationship management with key institutional stakeholders.
  • Representation of LALIGA in events and conferences.
  • Coordination with Spanish organisations in UK&I.

 

Clubs Support

  • Supporting LALIGA clubs in market.
  • Accompanying clubs during tours and/or international matches.
  • Identification of possible sporting and/or commercial partnerships.

 

Market research and analysis

  • Preparation of strategic reports including competitor analysis, benchmarking, stakeholder landscape, digital/comms/AV, and other fields of interest.

 

Media relations

  • Implementation of LALIGA’s comms strategy for the UK & Ireland.
  • Day-to-day PR agency relationship management.
  • Developing relevant content for local audiences.

 

Broadcaster relations

  • Combatting audiovisual fraud. Monitoring actions related to the value of LALIGA’s main broadcast assets.
  • Managing day-to-day relations with LALIGA’s broadcast partners in UK & Ireland.
  • Actively promoting LALIGA and its partners.

 

Events & Activation

  • Event management: design, execution, and support of LALIGA events in UK&I.
  • Identification of opportunities and alliances in areas including watch parties, sporting projects, football development, community and CSR, etc.

 

Business Development

  • Identifying new monetization opportunities.
  • Prospecting partnership agreements at local (UK&I) and regional (European) level.
  • Exploration of new business models and activation concepts.
  • Events and activations with LALIGA brand partners: organisation and support.

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidates shall meet the following criteria:

  • Residency and working experience in the United Kingdom.
  • Advanced level of Spanish and English (fluent preferred)
  • Other languages highly valued.
  • University education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Valued: Master's degree or MBA
  • Background in Sports Management and/or Sport Marketing.
  • Experience in business development is a plus.
  • Previous international experience a must.
  • Between 3 and 5 years of sport-industry experience.
