Job Description

Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the 27th club in January 2019. Austin FC will officially begin play in 2021 in the new, 100% privately financed, $260 million, state-of-the-art Q2 Stadium in Austin.
 
Austin FC is actively seeking a driven and motivated Coordinator of Fan Experience who will support the consumer facing activation experiences at Austin FC matchdays and ancillary events. In this role, you will execute the Club’s approach to delivering a best-in-class matchday experience to fans during the Club’s anticipated sold-out inaugural season. This role will also support activation for other events, such as player reveals, jersey release parties, and other fan-relevant programming.
 
This role to build a legendary Club and establish the core fan experience around Austin FC is a once-in-a-lifetime and career-defining opportunity. The position is based in Austin, TX. You Will:
  • Support the development and execution of the Austin FC matchday, ranging from run of show assistance to the management of pre-match activations and beyond; and
  • Facilitate consumer-facing activation planning in the lead-up to Austin FC matchdays and ancillary events; and
  • Execute matchday recaps and event takeaway analyses; and
  • Support the Club’s community marketing lead by assisting on in-market activations; and
  • Support the ongoing conception and development of elements for the Austin FC matchday experience and other events.
 
You Have:
  • Efficiency managing planning schedules and working with large stakeholder teams
  • Ability to think creatively, using inspiration inside and outside the soccer world
  • Familiarity with activation approaches from soccer clubs within and outside of MLS
  • Experience in customer-facing event planning and execution
  • English language proficiency (Spanish language skills are a major plus) 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Bachelor’s degree
