Breese Stevens Field and Forward Madison FC are seeking a full time Facility and Event Management Intern. This Intern will oversee all aspects of an event from set-up to take-down, in addition to being involved in various special events and taking an active role in event planning. Applicants will serve under the close supervision of the Director of Operations and assist in part-time staff management as well as the transition from event to event.
Assist in getting the facility prepared for event season
Assist scheduling, management and training of part-time employees
Work in a chain of command and work closely under the direct management of Director of Operations and Forward Madison Staff
Assist in product receiving, e.g. ensuring all products are distributed and stored properly
Assist with flooring installation for concerts/special events
Assist with event setup and clean up for all soccer matches and non-soccer events: including- setting up goals and benches, VIP Set up and tear down, help with installation of advertising boards, etc
Assist in getting stadium open and closed for events and transitioning from one event to another
Monitor lines and problem-solve related issues as they arise
Track all business receipts, file into google receipt tracker
Set up, oversee, and close smaller scale events/camps/leagues independently
Take an active role in planning and executing events at Breese Stevens Field under direct management of the Director of Events and Marketing

Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
Internships run from approximately spring of 2021 until the end of the 2021 season (approx. October 2021). Due to the uncertainty regarding sports in Madison, the internship start date is to be determined and Forward Madison has the right to end said internship prior to the end of the 2021 season. The interns work directly with the management staff. All Interns must receive college credit for this internship OR this internship must qualify for a graduation requirement. Interns will receive $400 / month stipend. We don't cover any relocation expenses, etc.
