Nashville is America’s “It City” and a soccer city on the rise that set a new state attendance record when 59,069 fans welcomed Nashville Soccer Club (the Club) to Major League Soccer on Feb. 29, 2020. Despite the challenges brought by COVID-19, Nashville SC is coming off a successful inaugural season that saw the Boys in Gold set new league records for an expansion team while reaching the Audi MLS Cup Semifinals. Now, the Club is ready for its second MLS season as construction continues in its new home, the largest soccer specific stadium in the United States.
ROLE: The Director, Corporate Partnerships will be responsible for supporting the existing partners of Nashville Soccer Club. A key member of the Partnerships department, this position will serve as a liaison between corporate partners and the Club and will be focused on the facilitation and execution of partnership agreements. This position requires a professional dedicated to customer service who is passionate, detail-oriented and self-motivated. The Director of Corporate Partnerships will report to the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships.
Lead the three-member Corporate Partnership services team and work with Club partners to facilitate the fulfillment of partnership agreements
Monitor and track available inventory of all partnerships assets (i.e. signage, broadcast, digital, etc.)
Ensure partnership elements comply with team, stadium and MLS guidelines
Create and implement formalized process around all aspects of partner activation (on-boarding of new partners, mid & end of season recaps, account management, etc.)
Collaborate with department colleagues regarding partner objectives and strategic priorities
Monitor Corporate Partnership budget, working closely with the Finance team to track all department related expenses and invoices
Assist with drafting and interpreting partnership agreements.
Support the partnership sales process through brainstorming new ideas and developing new sales materials. Work in tandem to ensure a smooth transition with client on-boarding.
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Minimum 8-10 years experience in corporate partnership activation and partnership development, preferably for a team, league, property or sports marketing agency.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM
Knowledge of KORE, Digideck and Blinkfire preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong presentation skills
High energy and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet challenging deadlines
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
